Welcome to the Southwest Suburban Junior Woman’s Club!
The Southwest Suburban Junior Woman’s Club (SSJWC) is a brand new service club in the Southwest Suburban Chicagoland Community. Established in October 2015, the club is a local chapter of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) founded in 1889.  We are a fun, diverse group of women focused on service based projects to improve the community through volunteerism and philanthropic endeavors.

If you want to make a difference, volunteer, meet new people, network, and have fun, then this is the club for you! Guests and new members are always welcome!

In the first year after chartering the new club the SSJWC hit the ground running with several service projects.  We have collected used shoes for donation to a family working on adopting a little girl.  For the holidays we have "adopted" a few needy children to buy gifts for & ensure they had a wonderful holiday.  We helped the Tinley Park VFW decorate their hall for the holidays and members also spent time with active service men/women who could not go home for Christmas.

We will have two main projects to focus on each service year, one in the spring & fall.  Our spring fundraiser has been selling $10 Superbowl Squares for charities such as Bremen Youth Services & Cache Creek Animal Rescue.  Our fall project is Soap For Hope, a toiletry drive to benefit the Crisis Center of South Suburbia.

The Southwest Suburban Junior Woman’s Club meets the third Tuesday of the month (September through May) at 6:30 PM (social) and 7:00 PM (program and meeting) at the Tinley Park VFW, 17147 S. Oak Park Ave in Tinley Park.

Membership is open to women of all ages (18+) interested in sharing their time and talents to get involved in the community for volunteer and social activities!
